    What is the worst penalty you have given

    What was the largest penalty you have given in a traffic or non-traffic incident?
    I live in Iowa, and It is pretty rural, But a friend had a speeding ticket almost near $500.

    Too many to remember over the last 30+ years.

    But, I will say again, I do not issue penalties. That is the job of the courts, not the police.

    (Anyone else think crayons may be in order here?)

    I'm actually new here, you can check out my IP address if you'd like. I just want to prepare for what is ahead. I'm just doing that by asking experianced cops who have time on their hands. As I've redundantly put it before, I'm from a rural town, and my police department here isn't very large, So I feel I'd be wasting their time just asking them a bunch of dumb questions. (I'll do that later when I'm a newbie with a badge)

    I have given penalties to players that put them on the sidelines for the rest of the game! They were fighting on the field during a football game so I exercised my authority as the head official and ejected some players!
