Seriously, if you lose so-called "friends" because of the job you have chosen, were they TRULY your friends anyway? And if they are the kind of "friends" who would keep putting you in situations where you have to chose between them and your chosen profession, again, are they truly friends?
Don't worry, you won't miss them once you start working as an LEO, and you'll even make new friends. You'll see plenty of the former type of "friends" on a daily basis as you deal with them in your line of work.
