Question about restraining orders

I am currently deployed to the middle east, my wife blind sided me with wanting a divorce (in which I had thought we had a good, loving, healthy relationship) however since asking for a divorce she has demanded more and more money before I even return home. She uses our one year old son as leverage to get what she wants but has also stated that she would abuse her self to file a restraining order against me in order to seek full custody. I do not know whether she would ever do such a thing, but the thought and threat scares me all the same. I shouldn't have to state this but I would never do such a thing to any women let alone my wife who I love who is the mother of my child.

My question is how fast does a restraining order go into affect and how do I disprove her claims? And possibly how badly would it affect a custody battle? (In which all I want is what is fair everything equal down the middle with rights to my son, I don't wish to take my son from his mother, so why should she be able to take him from me on false claims? I love my son I want the best for everyone on this situation even my wife, who is being evil to me!!)

I am willing to take any lie detector or truth serum anything. But I know the seriousness and legality of such claims being taken, in reference of assuming the worst and sorting it out later. I just want to see my son after being gone for so many months, its over between my wife and I, she can do what she wishes and I bid her happiness and success I just wish she didn't expect me to continue providing 100% of all her needs and threaten me when she doesn't get them.

Get a lawyer and do everything the lawyer says and nothing the lawyer tells you not to.

I'm confused here. She's going to abuse herself in order to attempt to get a restraining order, yet she's in the States and you're deployed in the middle east? Judges usually will give anyone a temporary order of protection, but I can't see a judge even doing that when you're thousands of miles away, obviously pose no threat, and could not have done anything to her physically.

Listen to what retdetsgt says and get yourself a lawyer. If you're military then JAG will help you out. Your lawyer will be able to give you legal advice on how much money you should give her and other things you can do.

On a real note, I would document dates and times of these conversations and overall content so you can provide that information to a divorce lawyer. I would look for one that has experience with child custody disputes as well.
