Who picks up an inmate for extradition out of state (Rhode Island specifically)?

Hi all,
Thank you for always answering my questions first off, I really appreciate it. It makes things a little less scary for me knowing some details, knowledge equals power I guess?

Anyway, I posted a question about a week ago about extradition from Florida to Rhode Island, my husband was arrested in Florida and waived extradition to Rhode Island. He is now waiting for Rhode Island to pick him up, apparently they have 10 days (Aug 5 being 10 days) and can file for a 10 day extension.

My question is this, who from Rhode Island picks him up? Is that the State Trooper's office or is it contracted out? Will they fly him or drive down to get him? Just curious what the process is. I know I won't have any advanced notice because of the security risk but I am just trying to figure this all out.

Here, it's generally someone from the sheriff's office unless it's a homicide or something where the officers from the investigative agency need to interview him. I would imagine they will fly him.

OH Gosh, thankfully, not a homicide, Crime is a 3 year old non-violent felony. Not good but not bad like a homicide and actually the warrant is for a failure to appear in court.

Whoever is detailed with it. Could be someone from their jail or could be a detective. It doesn't make much difference on your end, though.
