    Question Waiting for ticket

Back in June I was suicidal. One day I swallowed several pills and drank a bottle of wine. The police pulled me over to give me a DUI. As the cop approached my car I put my car in reverse and hit the patrol car. I then fled down the street and crashed my car into a stand of trees with suicidal intentions. I ended up in the hospital for over a month. I'm out now and I'm much healthier and happier. I realize that what I did was terribly wrong and am fully expecting to be punished for it. My question is this. When can I expect the police to either arrest me or issue me the appropriate warrant or tickets? It's been over a month.

Hard to say. I'm surprised you didn't get something at the time. The thing I would do would be get a lawyer. You're going to need one anyway from what it sounds like. The lawyer can find out everything for you. Even if you plan to plead guilty, it would be worth the money in the long run to have a lawyer represent you. He might be able to get you something negotiated down a bit.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Calling that department would get you a quicker and more succinct answer.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

Moved out of the Writers Questions area since it seems it has absolutely nothing to do with writing. Sent to a better home in the Ask-A-Cop section.
