Real Police Officers Versus Television Police Officers

Hello! I am writing a research paper on the differences between real cops vs. television cops. I know there are alot of differences but thought I might get some real facts! What kind of procedures do you have to go through when you shoot a criminal? On tv they show it that most cops are allowed back on duty the next day, but I know there is some sort of procedures. What other things in your opinions do you see as a difference? If you can include details that would be awesome! Thank you!!

TV cops might take the time to do your homework for you.

You know what else would be "awesome"? Going to a real police station and asking to interview an officer at work. You would get more out of it although you would have to do all the writing instead of cutting and pasting if we wrote your essay for you.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Exactly. Not only do most of us *NOT* come here to do students' homework assignments, but how exactly are you going to cite us as references? "Some random cop who goes by the username 'Kimble' on realpolice.net, who I know is a real cop because his posts say 'Verified LEO,' said..." As a former CJ professor I don't see your professor being cool with that. A smart student would do as retdetsgt suggested and speak to a cop in person to help with your research assignment.

I just wanted to get ideas from police that are out of my state. I actually have an interview with a cop this week. I was just wondering about other real cop thoughts on this topic. In no way was I asking any of you to do my homework assignment or write an essay for me. I was just wanting some explanations as to why you might think the way you do.

Actually that is pretty well how I go through my latest Management Development Program and following promotion...I even quoted Norm once and CincyCop twice!!!

TV cops aren't as cool as we are. For example: We P*ss Ice Cubes because we real cops are really cool.

That is the difference from Germany

I'm looking for Drug/Narcotic Unit patches together with DUI/DWI unit patches for a frame in our Anti-Drug-Team bureau

Also looking for Massachusetts Police and US Capitol City PD patches now!
