LAPD Hiring Freeze

I completed the hiring process for the LAPD in early February and was told that I was going to placed on a list of eligible new hires. Earlier this week it was announced that LAPD would be having a three month hiring freeze with the exception of an April class. My questions are, when will Aprils class be held? Late April or early May? How many weeks in advance do they typically let you know that you have been chosen? With the way the news is reporting the L.A. councils budget cuts it seems that this three month freeze may be prolonged into the next fiscal year. Thank you in advance for any information that can be given.
