Pulled over for Running Lights LED Strip

    This is in Arlington, TX
I was driving last night at 1am to go get some food
A police officer pulled me over because of my LED lights.

They are not Blue, but they are Xenon White, like what the high end car headlights are like.
(they have a small hint of blue in them being that they are xenon white)He told me they are Blue and then these LED's also flash Orange when I signal. He explained to me that you are only allowed 2 signals that flash, and since i have signals on my mirrors, signals on the bumper (stock) and then the LED strip signals, i had 3 signals flashing and this is not allowed.
He wrote me up for "Improper Use of Auxiliary lights"

I had a pickup truck which I just sold which had these same LED's on, and I also had an additional 2 sets of amber led strips that were always on, a Police officer has never stopped me for this.

What should I do about this? Should I take them off and just show the courthouse that they are off and pay a fee of $20 according to the officer?
Should I appeal this in the court? because I really like my LED's, I have not had a problem with them for 2 years now, until last night

The fact that you've never been pulled over for it doesn't mean anything. Violations such as this, at least here in PA, are purely discretionary. If I pulled over every car that had some type of equipment violation I would spend about every minute of my shift on a traffic stop.

The decision is really yours. Do you want to take them off for the peace of mind or leave them on and roll the dice? You may never get stopped again and you may get stopped every week, no one can predict that.

They're probably like tinted license plate covers, illegal, but I generally didn't bother with ticketing the drivers unless there were other problems. Just because I didn't stop and ticket all I saw didn't make them less illegal.

I guess you need to decide if you like them enough to risk getting another ticket for them.
