    Question! Help!

I dated this guy and he sells prescription pills to a few of his friends that he buys from a dealer-he is not perscribed them. My question is, since he screwed me over I would like to report this activity but I know that he would know it was me who reported it and the cops cant do a buy sting because he only sells to a few of his friends. He usually has the pills on him or in his car/house. Is there anyway I can ask the local police to stop him for a usual traffic violation and then search him? They will most likely find the pills and then he would not suspect that anyone ratted him out. I cannot report anything if there is anyway he would think that he was ratted out because he would know it was me and might try to hurt me.

"Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned"

The Police Department receives many calls from people who have had fights with their spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, parents, children etc. These calls are full of details, descriptions and allegations. The person they are calling about is usually doing this crime day and night and always has drugs, guns, stolen property etc. on him all the time. The police need to develop probable cause on their own and conduct an investigation into the actual crimed being committed and by how many people. If they just took your information and stopped him and got the pills the case would probably be thrown out of court. Call the police, ask to speak to an investigator concerning narcotic distribution and he or she will take it from there. They will ask you important questions and do their investigation if warranted. If you want to remain anonymous I am sure they will do everything they can to make that happen.

Anonymous reports are always possible, but if you are unwilling to be "on the record" with your complaint, then the police may not take it as seriously.

I guess it was okay for him to sell the prescriptions when you were dating him, eh?

Hmmmmmmmm, it was OK if he was a drug dealer when you two were googly eyed over each other but now that you are mortal enemies, you want to turn this scourge of the earth in ?

What makes you any better than him ?

And you had better hope that when he gets arrested that he doesn't say that YOU were involved.

Only way to do anything is contact your local police department and they will advise what they can do (or are willing to do) based on the info you give them. A bunch of anonymous folks on the internet aren't going to be able to do much.
