    Traffic Ticket question

I recently got a citation for California violation VC 22454 (Fail to stop for school bus), I have not been convicted yet however (I have yet to plead guilty or not), but if I do end up having to pay it, and I go to traffic school after that, can I still become a police officer? I am working on a 2 year degree right now (I just started last semester so I have 2 years to go) but I am wondering if this means I cannot become a police officer after I get my 2 year degree (assuming I do not get any more traffic violations)?

    Thanks.

One traffic ticket isn't going to make that much difference. Don't worry about it.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Ditto! A single traffic ticket won't keep you from being a cop. However, be sure to be more mindful of the rules of the road, as a number of traffic violations/tickets can prevent you from being hired if it shows a pattern of carelessness and disregard for the law.

Go forth and sin no more.
