    Would I get arrested?

Would I get arrested for Domestic Violence if my wife called the police after the following: we are having a verbal argument; i try to leave the house 4 times to
Avoid further confrontation. She physically blocks the door each time stopping me from leaving because she is not done yelling at me. (she is bigger and stronger) than me) After the 4th attempt to leave, I try to push (not hit or slap) her out of the way. She is not injured or harmed in any way. She then moves aggressively towards me because she is mad I "put my hands on her." I back away offering no resistance. She puts me in a full-Nelson, slams me up against the door then to the ground, all while I offer no resistance. Assuming she admits to everything above when the cops arrive and question her, would i get arrested?

If both stories are exactly the same, I would not arrest you based on that set of facts.

Like Citicop said, if both stories were exactly the same, I would not arrest you. Your wife, however, would be going to jail in Florida for Battery - Domestic Violence and would not have a bond for that night until she saw a judge in the morning.

Other than that, Welcome to RP from the Florida Panhandle! Usually we ask our newest members to go to the New Member Introductions section and start a thread telling us a little about themselves. Coming in to our internet home and just hammering us with questions is considered bad form. We hope that once your question is answered that you decide to stick around a bit, tons of great info on this site, and we have a great Search function. So, do your intro, and then dig in and really explore the space!

Time to end that relationship. Wife would go for the domestic assault charge.

If you are in the Army and your wife (even if bigger) is kicking your rear and she is not a boxer or MMA, I would suggest a divorce.
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.

Personally, I think if your relationship is such that you continue to get into physical altercations with your spouse, you need to get a divorce. And at least one of you should get some serious therapy. If not, jail will eventually be in your or her future.

    I'm outta here!

You did not mention children in your post. I hope you do not have any with this woman. Get out of this as fast as you can. Document everything that has happened to you in the past and anything that she does from now on. Don't threaten her with divorce, just do it. Do not touch her. Go to a motel when things get rough. Protect your credit card and assets and see a lawyer fast. You need to stand up for yourself and do this.

I'm going to take that everything in your post is accurate. If that is the case then pack your personal stuff and leave. Cancel all credit cards that are in both your names and open a personal checking account in your name only. Personally I would take exactly half of what is in the joint account and put it in the personal account. You can always agrue it later in court. If the woman is acting like that you can guarentee that if the police show up she will lie and guess who will be going to jail.
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"

One more thing. When the police are called to a family disturbance, in many states if not all, they are required to make an arrest if there are visible marks on either the husband, the wife or both. If your wife has self-inflicted marks on her body the police won't know for sure and probably arrest you. You need to stay away from this circumstance. On the other hand, document any marks on you that were inflicted by your wife with date, time, circumstance and pictures if possible. Note any witnesses. Call the police if need be.
