My Girlfriend beat me up 3 days ago

She was hitting me with a bat. Then I socked her back and gave her a black eye. She has not gone to the cops but has been threatening me to. How do I protect myself? It was self defense but i doubt anybody will see it that way. I don't want to look like a wuss by telling on her first...

Also, I'm currently recovering from a broken arm so I felt my action was justified.

The broken arm was an injury from 6 weeks ago. I seriously don't know what to do. I guess I'll just call the police department and get their advice. Thanks guys!

But you were defending yourself??? And no, the woman is not always right, but your story sucks.

Through 3 divorces and a number of crazy relationships, I never once got into a physical altercation with my significant other, much less punch one in the eye.

Well she never fully connected. But was swinging wildly at me. I guess the possibility of getting clubbed over the head made me react. I guess the evidence is stacked against me. I appreciate your response though, Sir.

I fail to see how this is any different from the question you posted earlier entitled: My girlfriend beat me up two days ago, which was closed and locked. It was obviously determined by a moderator to be of no further use on the forum. Posting the exact same question from a thread that has been previously locked is considered bad etiquette here at RP, not to mention against the TOS rules.

Your story does NOT hold water with anyone who has read it, even me. If it was true then you should have called for law enforcement at the time, but you chose to attack in kind instead of walk away or try to grab the bat or her arms. Now you must face the consequences.

You received many serious answers on that last thread. Please refer to them and stop asking this question.
