She was hitting me with a bat. Then I socked her back and gave her a black eye. She has not gone to the cops but has been threatening me to. How do I protect myself? It was self defense but i doubt anybody will see it that way. I don't want to look like a wuss by telling on her first...

Seriously? You're going to come here for information on this? Why didn't you call law enforcement at the time? Do you have marks on you from where she was supposedly hitting you with a bat? If so, and you can articulate that she was the primary aggressor, why didn't you call the cops then?

Better to "look like a wuss" and get her to pay the price for what she did than to have her call first, when you're not around, and then have a warrant out for your arrest for domestic battery! How much of a wuss do you think you'd look like in jail over night?

Trust me. I'm done with her. However, she has a black eye and I have no marks on me at all. She hit me in areas that done really bruise (chest, stomach). I'm assuming I'm SOL.

It wasn't a fight. It was a first round TKO. But she was hitting me with a bat. I didn't feel like my life was in danger. Does my life have to be in danger to defend myself?
