    Underage drinking.

I have a serious question that has to kinda do with underage drinking. Here's the story. Hypothetically, if someone under the age 21 is at a party drinking and nothing happens that night, then about a month later that person must tell authorities that he/she was drinking alcohol a few weeks earlier. Under this situation, would the person get any punishment or since there is no alcohol currently in their system, there is no harm? I would really like to know before the end of the month so I can get a real life situation situated. Thank you.

All I can say is tell the truth.
If you lie and it goes to court,
the penality for perjury is a whole lot
    worse than the alcohol violation.

PS, we have 5 years in Kansas to charge alcohol violations.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL

You seem to be asking if, when you are asked as a minor if you were drinking a month earlier, if anything could happen to you?

If that is correct, legally I can't imagine any repercussions if, as you say, nothing happened. However, you could be in violation of school policies or something similar.

As a police officer, I can't imagine a parent or other adult bringing a teenager into the PD and reporting that, a month ago, the teen had a few beers while sitting in the basement playing video games (or some other benign activity) and expecting me to do anything about. Legally, there simply wouldn't be anything for me to do.
    Cogito ergo summopere periculosus.

    Fiat justitia, ruat coelum.
