I worked in Oregon. The only places I couldn't enter with my firearm on duty were jails, secure areas of airports, the federal courthouse and some mental wards.

I never had a problem taking it places I wanted to go off duty although I understand some places like Six Flags don't like anyone with guns, but I have no personal experience with that. Oregon has no prohibition on people legally carrying firearms in bars although it may not be a good idea.

Colorado. Not allowed to carry into the jail only. I haven't been to the federal courthouse while a cop here, so I don't know the firearm rules for an on duty uniformed cop. Our airport is staffed by officers, so we're allowed to keep our weapons in the secure area if Im there for some reason
Pittsburgh Pirates- 1st place NL Central 7/15/11

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards wont get away this time

Off-duty we can carry anywhere unless there's a sign or law saying otherwise. In Tennessee, I can carry anywhere on-duty except for the jail and federal courthouse. If you're on-duty you can still carry in the airport on the public side, but must have an official reason to be armed beyond the security checkpoint. Normally airport police will accompany any other state/local LEO who needs to be armed beyond security. The feds are good to go anytime.

Thinking about it, I guess we could at an airport, but since PDX has it's own police force, we never have a reason to go there on duty.
