hey TX kid are you talking about the m4a1 the AR or the m40a1 sniper rifle that military uses?
I was talking about the m4 carbine or whatever. I don't know much about them, just that swat teams use them. Anyone know which model was used in the movie SWAT? That's the model I want, of course without full auto and stuff. The main reason I want one is practice for when i need to qualify with one later down the road, to make it look cool by heavily outfitting it with cool stuff, and to shoot it on my range in the backyard.
anything with carbine is an automatic which is the m4a1 but the m16a2 is a much more bad *** gun, thats what the military uses, small bullet, huge jacket, this is a bad *** bullet that will do some damage and can shoot in any kind of condition. SEMPER FI
Any AR15 will do. The operation of all the variants is the same. You could opt for a flat-top and throw on an Aimpoint or EoTech, but other than that, there would be no difference. Also, mounting a light depends on how much money you want to spend. You can do alright for $200 by piecing together a surefire and mounts or you can mount a rail and buy a Surefire M900 for ~$450.![]()
Any Bushmaster, Colt, Olympic Arms, etc will do fine.

PWA isn't bad either
It will cost you a lot of money to get a bonified M4 though.

I figured...LOL
I have never seen them used on a duty rifle, though. Not to talk trash, but (to me) that is often a rather good indicator of reliability and respect for a product within the field.

um, all the M16A2,3,4 the M4 and the M249SAW all fire the standard 5.56mm round...there is no difference. One is not any better than the other. Except that the SAW will rain down hell on the enemy for extended periods of time. And the M16 is a toy in comparison to the SAW, which is a toy compared to the M240B, which is a toy compared to the ma duece...Originally Posted by marine19860222
What do you mean by "huge jacket" ? Its a 55gr FMJ. There is nothing great about it.
yeah well I'm sure when Matell was making m16's they didn't care that it was a toy doll company making them![]()

anyhow, personally I don't think you'll see them as duty use, because other makers have cornered that market and as far as i know, PWA is not longer in business cause I can't find any site about their company.
