    Headlight out

Here is the situation. My sister uses my van for the time being. She got pulled over on the 13th for a headlight out. I had to use my van on the 14th because are other car and a flat and I had to pick up my husband from his job. I got pulled over and was written a ticket for the headlight out. I would like to know how much it is. I live in fort wayne, in and is there anything I can do to to either fight it or pay it off in a different way maybe community service. I am on a low income and what little I have I need for bills and diapers. Thank you for reading.

Contact the fort Wayne Police Department (if that is who the ticket is from) thay will be the ones to tell you what will be required.

Fines will vary from city to city.

Number should be on the citation for the court.
Usually equipment violations are fix it tickets, meaning you get the equipment fixed within a certain amount of days and show proof to the court. Then you're just responsible for court cost, which varies from area to area.
But, if you ignore that fix it ticket, don't show up to court, a warrant will be issued for your arrest.
In Texas those warrants will be for FTA (Fail to Appear) and the original equipment charge.

FWPD usually explains the fine when they give you the ticket. If they did not, contact the court and they can tell you.

This can also be answered by contacting the court. You have the right to fight it, but good luck. The warning your sister got wont help that cause. You may be able to make payments. Ft. Wayne does not issue warrants for minor traffic violations, but if you ignore it or don't pay it your license will be suspended.

Not sure how you plan on fighting it. Your headlight was out. You knew the headlight was out. Officer saw headlight out. Officer wrote ticket for headlight out.

Not quite seeing a defense there.
