It depends on the Department. It is impossible for me to answer this. Good Luck
I understand that, mainly wondering if I make an "acceptable" candidate and hold a good chance. Main thing to me Is the reckless actually. I have wanted to be in law enforcement since I could talk and just extremely nervous about that keeping me from it.
Thanks for the speedy response! And I see you are in Arkansas where at?

Paragraph about your little run in says it all. Magic 8 ball says "Don't Hold Your Breath".

Explain please.
When asked, did you give the names of your friends to the arresting officer?
Why were you driving recklessly on a bike with no license plate?
How many previous times had you done this without getting caught?
How many times have you hung out with those people since?
Getting arrested for that as close as 7 months ago shows bad decision making on your part (other than stopping for the officer, which while a good decision, does not make up for the previous bad decisions). You will probably need some time (think a few years) between you and that decision before you have a realistic chance of hire (at least in my area).

Yes gave all information they asked including names of other bikes, it had plates, they were 1 month expired (friends bike but I do realize my responsibility to check) never ridden "reckless" before (keep that at the drag strip) I only was speedin the way I was to keep up because I was totally lost and didn't want to be in the middle of no where with crazy traffic (recently moved to state a year ago and was in a totally new area). Haven't hung out with them since, quit bike club and sold my bike 2 days after.
And I have paper proof of most of that- it wasn't like me and getting arrested is probably going to be the number one thing on my lifes worst things list.
*** I'm actually from poplar bluff Missouri area, saw you're from there .
In your account of your legal troubles, you spend more time bad mouthing the officer than you do taking responsibility for YOUR actions. That speaks volumes about your character. That is a big red flag, along with your mad riding skillz. "Don't hold your breath" means just that. You'll turn blue and run outta oxygen before you get hired.![]()
