Gentlemen-
I may be in the minority here, but I think his actions as stated (pulling over, selling the bike, quitting the club, not keeping those kind of "friends" after, and giving all requested info to the officer about those who fled) say some good things about the OP.
He made a bad choice, and I think he knows that. Given some time between him and this incident, I don't see a permanant DQ here.
I would like to see him not fight the charge too hard, and plea guilty to the original charge, or whatever plea the prosecutor offers due to his cooperation, and pay the fine promptly.
But I think some of you are being too hard on him right now.
Just my opinion...
