    Please help me!!

    I am currently employed by safeway, I always wanted to be a police officer.
    I just received my permanent residency and I want to apply to the academy. In 3 years I can apply for citizenship.
    Can I become a sworn police officer before applying for citizenship? Please help.

    Please let me know if there's any city that allows this. My mom is very Ill. Her last wish for me is to see me fulfill my dream. Thank you.

    In Oregon, you have to receive your citizenship within the first year of working. It takes around 5 years to get it though.

    PA requires citizenship. It seems to me that Denver Colorado allows permanent residents to apply ?? Not sure.
