Regarding certain issues I've been having

Hello officers,

Information:
I'm from Houston, Texas and recently (actually just today... and a week from 2 years ago) I've come upon slight issues.

Story:
So today, I called a friend (I'm 17, she's 16) and was going to ask her a question regarding my school work (being the fact that I'm 1 class behind in science and math, and share the same course as her). Upon calling her, I got no answer. Shortly after hanging up on the "Please leave a message" auto message, I received a call back. What I didn't know was that this was her mom. Her mom asked if I was Homen (my name) and when I said yes, she proceeded on with questioning me as to why I was calling her daughter. Then when I tell her I was going to ask her for help on information about my Chemistry midterm. Her mom starts yelling at me.
Direct quote: "DON'T CALL MY DAUGHTER AGAIN, OR I WILL CALL THE POLICE ON YOU. YOU HERE ME?"
Flashback:
2 years ago, I had a group of friends over at my house. My friend who I referred to in the story a paragraph above, was within that group. Now, this wasn't anything stupid like some might think after reading my story. It was merely a get together for my 15th birthday. Little did I know, my friend hadn't told her parents that she was going. So when she got home, her parents ended up questioning her, then calling me back (She added me to the home phone's phone book). Similar to what happened today, I received a bunch of calls each containing pretty much the same stuff. (Her parents yelling at me) Similar to today I was threatened by them about them calling the cops on me (I still do not know why). Only 2 years ago the situation was much worse. Her parents continually harrassed me via phone for the next 3 or so days, each day getting worse. Up to the point where they tried to threaten me with the threat of calling the cops if I didn't give them the person who gave her a ride to my get together. (Isn't that pretty much blackmail? Almost?)

Question:
Up till now, I still don't know what to do. I have no clue as to why her parents keep harrassing me with the threat of calling the cops. I haven't done anything wrong, I was merely trying to ask my friend about the midterms I'm going to be taking tomorrow [12/17/2010].

Now my question for you officers is...
What can I do to prevent them from doing the same as they did 2 years ago [The harrassment]. And is it even possible for them to call the cops on me (I'm actually scared of the idea of being reported to the cops, even if I haven't done anything wrong (I have a reason but won't write that here since it'll take forever))

Side note:
Now officers, I'm sure after reading this you'll probably think of me as a dumb teenager, but hey that's what I pretty much am. It's a real concern so it would be appreciated if you could give me some help on this issue.

Question:

What did your parents say then/now about the situation?

If her parents don't want you to call her, then don't call her. There are other people in your classes you can call...

Well Citicop,

My parents don't know about this otherwise I'd get in trouble for no reason (being the fact that I'm always getting in trouble with them for no apparent reason)

And I have stopped, but much like 2 years ago, even after I stop doing whatever I'm doing they'll still call to harrass me. And there aren't many people in my class who can help me cause I don't know many people, and most of them are failing really hard.

How about this - if you don't want to be harassed, don't submit to it. If they call, don't answer. If they leave a message, delete it without listening to it. If you DO happen to answer, and it's them, hang up on them. Put their number on your ignore list or change numbers.

Is it possible for them to call the cops on you? Sure, they can. And report what? What crime have you committed?

Thanks for the advice Sir GoDirectly2Jail, I guess now I see why there's a common sense notation on the "Before you post" thread. "><"
