    Question About Underage Citation

I recently recieved an underage drinking citation in PA. On the report, there is a section that says "On (Day, Time)" which is filled in and next to it is a section that says "at (place)" which is not filled in. In another part there is a box that says "Where" and in the box is written 17th ave, (which isn't the name of the street its 17th street) no cross street or anything. Will this hold up at my court date or will it be dropped because it isn't the right information? Thanks for the feedback.

It probably won't be dropped for a mistake like that. If you push it at court the court will have the officer amend and initial.

In technical terms, this would be where you're still going to have to pay the fine since you committed the offense. Time to grow up, kid, the people that go nowhere in life are those who constantly avoid taking responsibility for their actions.

So what you are telling me, is that a police officer can go into court and if something isn't in his favor he can change a police report so it is in his favor?

I'm not trying to avoid responsibility if anything in doing this the police officer is avoiding responsibility of HIS OWN MISTAKE.

No. Police Officers make mistakes on paperwork. You plead guilty or not guilty. If you plead not guilty, the judge will set a trial date and the officer will come in. He then testifies about the details there. He can testify correctly in court, and state he made an error on the summons. No judge in thsi world is tossing a summons because it is a "street" and not a "ave" when the actual name of such is correct. especially when there is no "street" within that jurisdiction.

The exact coordinates of where you are are not as relevant as long as it was within the state and that officers jurisdiction.
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.

Ok I understand now. The officer also said that I could plead for an alternative program. What does that mean exactly?

Well aren't you a snotty little boy. You are stating that the officer put "ave" instead of "street" It will not get you out of your crimes. The officer will testify to where it happened, if it is a difference of "ave" and "street" the DA will say did you mean to write street officer. He will say yes I made a mistake. Move on with the trial.

Not what anyone has said. Minor errors like puting "St" instead of "Ave" or something similar are easily corrected and do not change the material facts of the case (i.e. whether you, a minor, were drinking alcohol illegally). As I said before, you're trying to dodge responsibility in your underage drinking on a simple typo, which means you're likely not mature enough to learn from your mistakes so that you don't repeat them.

There's plenty of legal loopholes and technicalities out there to let people off for crimes they've committed, this one isn't going to fly for you though. Life tends to be a lot easier if you try to be responsible for your actions and behave with some maturity, but don't listen to us, learn from life the hard way.

I'm closing this one since asking the same question multiple times doesn't change the answer, whether you choose to listen to the feedback you've been given or not.
