    Good day,
I was wondering if you install a 5 point safty harness in your car will you be still street legal. I have seen cars in autocross events that i know are also used on the streets with them

    I can't think why they wouldn't be.

Is this for show or are you going road racing ?

    1. I think the novelty of having it will wear off as it will get in the way of your normal driving.

    2. If you get stopped for a violation , it wil NOT impress the officer. Especially if you are speeding.

I do run autocross events couple times a year and have taken some high speed clsses but I have only used the shoulder belt with helmet. I do not get over 90 mph because Im not rated high speed. they will set the track with turns so it will be very hard to go faster than that. Im in Minnesota

Kind of like the guy I stop for speeding who has his radar detector sitting there. Think he has a snowballs chance of getting a warning ??

I never had ticket or a preventable crash. I have a CDL DL . I guess it sounds like it will be a bad idea to do this. I will just stick to the regular belt. I do not drive my vette that often
