Harassment from ex husband..help please??

Hi my name is "Jane" im from Florida, and im in a custody battle with my exhusband,have been for 2 years now..I was told in court that im required to inform him(by email) about any changes,if our child is sick,report cards,just keep him updated about our child. Half the time he doesnt ever write me back,but when he does its either him or his wife and they call me names,like idiot,stupid,etc..and put me down,sayin im a bad mother,our child really hates it here with me,he hasnt seen our child since aug,he lives 5 hours away,he doesnt make any effot to excerise his rights to visit,he never emails,he hardly calls,and when he does call our child he either brings up the case or talks bad about me,so our child has quit answering and he has left voicemails that are ugly,that our child need to answer the phone,that im giving him crap about him not calling but he claims he calls weekly,but he doesnt. So I dont even want to email him anymore in fear of backlash,also his wife has blasted on the husbands first wifes page(they are friends) about my case,she has nothing to do with this case,they call me names on there as well,and make up lies about me and my family. I have emailed my lawyer numerous times but hes very busy with a big case right now and hasnt had time to help me. What can I,if anything,do about this? I believe its cyberbullying,harassment and mental and emotional abuse towards me and our child..am I right? any help or just advice as to what I could do would be awesome..Thanks so much and God bless..

You are an adult. You have a child with this man, and a court has ordered you to keep him advised of any changes in the child's status by email.

If you don't want to read what he has to write, then don't open the emails he sends you. You don't have to be friends with him on Facebook, you don't have to be a part of the drama.

Send the emails as ordered by the court and let them run their mouths all they want. If he is leaving your child ignorant messages, save them and go to court asking for a change in the custody decree based on his behavior.

If the court orders you to email him then you have to email him. Period. If you feel that he or his family is harrasing you then take the evidence to your lawyer and go in front of the judge. The judge can modify his orders if he wishes. If your attorney is too busy then maybe it's time to find another one. They're a dime a dozen.

"Cyberbullying" is the new catchphrase, however it means nothing in Florida. There's no law against it. "Harassment" and "emotional abuse" are the same. The only way that the emails/calls could rise to the level of criminal conduct is if they are actually threatening you. Just being rude to someone isn't a crime. Your remedies are with the civil courts, not us.
