I have a question about Michigan's Stature Laws.
I was told that an officer must follow a car for at least 1 mile after using a radar gun to obtain their speed, before they can pull them over for a speeding ticket. Is this true?

Not true for Va. Can't imagine it being true in other localities.

In PA , if I want to follow ( pace ) someone for speeding using my speedometer....I must follow them for 3/10 th of a mile. And at speed, it doesn't take long to get a good pace on them. There is no other following requirement that I am aware of anywhere. Would kind of defeat the whole purpose of running radar.

In Oregon, the reading on the radar gun is all you need. No one has to follow you, you can be stopped down the road by another officer and written by him.
Even pacing, there is no set rule, just common sense applies.
