To those who have seen it, do you find the Reno911 offensive ?

No.

Hell, I can identify just about every character on it with someone I used to work with.

I find Reno911 Entertaining and Hysterical.

We won't rest 'till we find the mutt.
My favorite was when Garcia (I think) was called to put down a dog. The guy said the dog was dying and asked the deputy to put it out of it's misery. As soon as he shot it, the lady comes out screaming that he shot her dog! The guy yelled at the lady "I told you to make him stop barking!" and ran off.
I could just picture some guy on my dept doing that.......

Haven't seen it in years, but it was really funny when it first came out. Offensive? No. Closer to reality than a lot of "cop shows?" Absolutely!

My new hero!
It's a funny and entertaining comedy.
My departments looking into the viability of Lt. Dangle type uniform shorts.

A lot of that show is typical police work.

I think it's funny.

During a rather serious meeting at our department I asked our chief to authorize "Lt. Dangle shorts" as an alternative uniform for officers working a detail at the state fair. I told them I'd even be willing to model them for the uniform committee.
Let's just say that we got to wear dark blue uniforms in 115 degree heat....no shorts.![]()

I frequently run into people who are way crazier and kookier than anyone who was ever on Reno 911.

Like the DWI stop that ends in the blonde deputy giving dancing lessons on the side of the rode.

It is probably the funniest cop show to ever hit the airwaves and closer to how it really is out there than COPS.
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.

I loved the tv show. I swear some of those characters were based on my Agency, and one in particular was my Sgt.
Hated the movie.
