When I applied to my current department they most definitely contacted my high school and obtained records on everything from attendance to grades. Would it be a career killer I would say not, but then again who knows it would depend on what the department thought (if there were indeed a record of it). Remember, EVERYTHING you do will be scrutinized, so just follow the law and live like you are a officer.

It wasn't much of a school if they taught you to write like that.

As stated, don't get into trouble, maintain a good credit rating, get a good work history and learn to write like an adult and you should be fine.

Sorry for my spelling errors I was in a rush to write this. And yes I know I was very stupid and not thinking when I wrote it. And I have matured and moved on from then and hope they realize that

It's not up to your prospective employer to "realize that," it's up to you to prove it.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

My current employer, while doing my background, looked at my Facebook not two weeks after someone finally talked me into opening a page up. Fortunately, I had nothing politically incorrect on there.
Just remember everything on there is a reflection of you.
Also, make sure you check your privacy settings and only allow trusted friends.
Most agencies I've applied with only wanted my High School and college transcripts, which is and was a good thing, for I wasn't a model student grade wise or attitude wise.
Close to 25 years ago when I graduated, so I sure hope they wouldn't hold my adolescent rebel without a clue mishaps against me.
