    Headlight/ Tail light UT

Hello ther i was wondering if it is illegal to tint your headlights if you have driving lights installed stock on the car and you use them with the headlights? and i heard tinted tail lights were legal as long as you could see them from over 500 feet? is this true or no? thank you in advance.

i was also wondering if i were to but a headlight/ tail light that was pre tinted from the manufacturer if it would make a difference?

Here in Queensland (Australia), your not allowed to change a vehicle from standard more than 15 %, which means tiniting on lights you may as well not do it. 15% means you wouldn't see the difference...
We've only recently bought in new laws regarding driving lights too... manufactures have changed the name from Spot Lights to Driving Lights so they can be driven withy them on.

It will probably vary from state to state, but my answer is probably no. "Driving lights" aren't headlights, they don't take the place of headlights, and they are not designed to illuminate the roadway like headlights. As to the tail lights, I know in Florida the require viewing distance is 1000 feet. Putting any covering on them is going to effect their visibility from 1000 feet.

RS(V)R here also states that driving (fog) lights cannot operate without the headlight or parker lights being on. Spot lights or other high beams cannot operate without the high beams being active. Cannot have more than 6 high beam lights (3 pairs) and they must be in pairs!!

Oh yeah, and no tinting of lights.
