ok beginning to freak out a little help

my son is 23 a special officer in nj and a correction officer in philadelphia, he was suppose to come by to help me sunday, i have not heard from him since friday when i bought a new car for work, i keep calling his cell goes right to voice mail like its not on, should i call the police, he is 23 and has his own place ( with a new roommate) in pa they issued him a gun so he is armed and i know some people dont like the police, or correction officers
should i be worried ???

Also, maybe give the police/sheriff's office a call where your son lives and see if they can do a welfare check on him.
I know my mother, although I'm well into my 40's, would be worried sick if I pulled a Harry Houdini.
