    In house check

    Was listening to the police scanner last night and an officer asked the dispatcher to run an "in house check" on someone.

    The dispatcher responded that the person was revoked with no warrants.

    What does an "in house check" mean?

    Most likely a check of the department records/department database. Not all warrants are NCIC.

    We call them "Person Checks" or "Address Checks"... like greg mentioned, it's just to see Who's Who in the Zoo and what work we have installed for us when we get there.
