Good Day all,
I heard some news on radio that the DEA wants to hire ebonics translators . I dont know if this could be for real. Have anyone of you hear of any LE departments that have ebonics translators

Without a whole lot more evidence than this, I have to call Shenanigans. Ebonics is not a language, it is an English dialect. No one is hiring translators to understand what people in the South are saying, or in the Northeast, either.

My ebonics go as far as Different Strokes and the two brothers in Airplane the movie! And we though the Mexican were overtaking us! Maybe it will be language option for our children in school!

I make drug delieverys(legal rx drugs) to the hood where alot of the people who have a ebonic dialect and I have isues trying to understad them when they are upset about not getting the right pills or the price of them. they will just talk loader and faster when I ask them to repeat. sometimes I wish I could speak in a dialect they will understand me when I ask them for the payment or trying to get a picture id when it is a narc drug
