Hi, I'm 18 and I've gone on sites like chatroulette and other webcam sites that connect you with random people. I've gone on there naked before and might have shown minors myself or they might have shown me themselves naked since there is no age restriction. Is it possible for law enforcement to track down people exposing themselves to minors or seeing minors and having "webcam sex" (like actually interacting not just seeing and moving on)? It's not like I'm actively seeking minors to stalk, but I'm worried that I'm going to be labeled a sex offender etc. But is it even possible to get caught? And if so, how likely is it to happen?

I know this sounds really lame but I'm serious and I'm freaking out now. Thanks!

If you send nude pictures of yourself to a minor, or view naked minors, your intent makes no difference.

Just like if you get arrested for statutory rape of a 13 year old, and you thought she was older, that fact is unlikey to do you any good.

Oh dear. Stop going on these sites, stop flashing your tackle for all un sundry to see. That way nobody, old or young will see it and you won't to worry or freak out!

I imagine, like here there are different changes relating to downloading/looking at a naked minor for sexual gratification and possesing hard copies in photograph or media form are dfferent charges of the same law.
