    Out of county applicant

I am in the process of applying to a few departments that are outside my county. What is the (usual) procedure for out of county applicants? Will most departments let you submit the application first and do the physical agility test later?

I would guess that every department will do it differently.

In my area, every department accepts the application first, and schedules other testing (written, physical, medical, etc.) later.

I figured every area would be different, just thought there would be someone in here with some knowledge on how agencies handle this. Thanks for your input.

Depends on how far out of county "out of county" is. A half hours drive will probably not allow for special circumstances. In both departments I got hired with, I was over 500miles away so they allowed me to do everything in two trips, wheras closer applicants came in a number of times for the same tests I got done in two visits.
