Call the police department and ask them what the bond will be. If you can make the bond then turn yourself in, bond out, and then show up at your court date. If you can't make the bond ask the police officer what time is most convenient to turn yourself in so you can go right down to court for arraignment. At my department, I tell people who can't afford the bond to turn themselves in at 7 AM on a weekday so we can do the arrest processing and take them right down to court for arraignment.

Whichever you do, you should do it quickly. It is much better to turn yourself in, as inconvenient as it may be, than it is to have a couple of cops show up at your place of business and take you away in handcuffs.

    TURN YOURSELF IN!!!!!

Seriously, follow the advise above. Find out your bail, get the money ready when you turn yourself in so after you are processed you can bail out. Or turn yourself in on a weekday morning so you can go right before the judge for a bail review.

    But most importantly . . .
    TURN YOURSELF IN!!!!!

When I lock someone up who is trying to avoid me? I take them right then and there, no time to prepare. I've brought people to jail in their skivvies before- "You ride like you hide!"

    Actual conversation with suspect
Suspect: Why am I under arrest?
    Me: For posession of CDS.
Suspect: Man, it wasn't CDS! It was E pills!

If at first you don't succeed. . .don't try skydiving!

You can just ignore warrants for your arrest. With time they always clear themselves up. Of course, the way they clear themselves up may be inconvenient.

There is a word for people who have warrants and are avoiding being arrested...it's called "Fugitive"

    Let the hunt begin...
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.

In the Opera of my mind, I can hear how this conversation is going to go:

Boss: "Hey Uffy, put down the mop and clock out. The Cops are here and want to talk to you."

Uffy: "Tell e'm I've already talked to them on their Forum, and they told me it would just go away."

    Boss: "I'm not gonna....UUumph...."

Cops: "Uffy, drop the mop and put your hands where we can see'em".

Uffy: "But I..... YI Yi Yi Yi YI Yip Yi.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cops: "I told you to drop the mop. Stop resisting and I'll stop the Tazer!!!"

Uffy: "YIp YI yi YI yi Yip...!!!!!!!

Cops: "Damn, this is going to make a good video for our next choir practice..."

Boss: "Can I get a copy?"

Either turn yourself in now, and get it sqared away while you have a heads up, or wait till we pick you up at our convieniance (whether it be at home, at work, or stopping you on the road and towing your car), in which case it'll be really inconvieniant for you.

Your only other option is hiring a lawyer and trying to get the warrant withdrawn. In order to do that you're probably going to have to appear in court and post whatever the bond is on the warrant, but it all depends on where you are.

Many jails also have a self-arrest program, where you can go to the jail after arranging bond and quickly get processed and released. It usually takes an hour or two and is more convenient then getting taken to jail at a random time, being embarrassed if you're with someone, and having your car towed.
