    Failed to complete community service

I had 19 hours of community service that was due on the 2nd of Augest; however, I was at my college's summer program which is in another part of the state. For that reason I was not able to turn in paperwork saying I completed community service. Today I got a letter in the mail saying I have a mandatory court appearance for not completing the community service. I have completed the service, just not turned in the sheet. Is there anything I have to be worried about when I visit the court in a couple weeks? Thank you for the help.

So you did your community service but you couldn't bother to turn in your paperwork or mail it in to the court? Either the judge is going to buy your story and accept your paperwork or he's going to toss your butt in jail for a few days. The simple fact is that your didn't comply with the court order and do what your were suppose to do. Everyone has an "excuse" and I'm guessing the Judge really doesn't care about it.
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"

When you go to Court, bring a toothbrush and some postage stamps.

Yes, you should be worried about getting locked up. Good luck.

You're probably going to find out what happens when you don't follow the instructions of the court to the letter, and if the judge chooses, you could go to jail. However, if you decide to further not follow the court's directions (like not show up for your mandatory court date), you'll for sure see the inside of a jail cell, and likely for much longer.

Better hope you have a lenient judge, otherwise you may find your butt sleeping behind steel bars.

    Actual conversation with suspect
Suspect: Why am I under arrest?
    Me: For posession of CDS.
Suspect: Man, it wasn't CDS! It was E pills!
