Shouldn't the Police have a way to convey dangers to the Public?

Most Americans have great respect for the men and women who serve and protect us.

I am sure that if there was National Union that could filter your most pressing concerns down
to two or three topics, the public would love to hear what you guys have to say.

I guess this would be impossible with regular Unions. (They have other work to do.) It would have to be a Union that did nothing but present your views to the public.

It shouldn't cost too much. You would have to make sure that all who voted were actually on some State or Local Police Force, and then it could all be done over the Internet. (The actual Voting to cut the number of issues down to a small number.)

Major concerns could be voiced over your computers, and then voted down, (By the majority.), to the three most pressing problems each month. (Or maybe each Quarter.)

My guess is that you guys could come up with better laws than our politicians do.

At the very least, you could educate the public about things that most of us are totally unaware of.

As a citizen, I sure would like to hear from the people who actually understand our Law Enforcement problems.

I think if you had something like,--20,000 Police Officers want you to know----

That lots of folks would be interested in your opinion.

    Just thinking,

    Michael

Shouldn't this be in general LE topics, rather than Ask a Cop? Not really much of a question here.

Why would you assume that the concerns of LAPD officers would mirror those of officers in Bismarck, ND? Different areas have (vastly) different problems and concerns. If there is a "danger" to convey, the media gets it out just fine.

Nothing personal, but on-line (anything) is too easy.

    1. Nothing smokes out a fraud like behavior: what they say vs what they do.
    2. Also, what is not said, is as revealing as the lie itself.
    3. On-line is more subject to deception, manipulation and external control - the face you see, is not the face lying to you.

    my 2 cents
Old people may not live to see the collapse of our Nation. The rest of you may not survive the collapse.

A lie told often becomes truth. (Valdimir Ilyich Lenin)
