    need some help/advice about a guy with a camera comming to my park

    I work with a kids sports program, and about a week or so ago we started having problems with a guy coming to the park. the first time, he followed me around telling me how stoned and depressed he was, and harrassing me for my info and my number and etc, and after being asked many times to leave he would ignore... finally he left...
    a few days later he came back, only this time with a video camera and i caught him filming two kids on the swings.... after chasing him off he was spotted by the same 2 kids later that day. and at this point i called the cops and they came and looked into it.
    Even tho the cops have been patrolling the park and being awesome and helping us out with this.. this guy must be watching the cops, because he KEEPS COMING BACK!!! he came back today and every time wearing something else and doing things like pretending to wait for a bus, or hiding behind a tree... how can i get rid of this freak?? i am seriously getting concerned he is going to do something, i have usually 40+ kis attending my program... what if he tries something, i am responsible for that.. and needless to say parents have noticed the extra police patrol in the park.

    What state are you in? Have the police been able to ID the guy yet??

    How about a little turnabout? Start carrying your own camera and videotaping him?

    Be obvious about it. Make him the spectacle, and make sure that everyone else knows it, too.

    Unfortunately, if you are in public, or on public property (in the US, anyway), if he can see you, he's free to use his camera, with some limitations on peeping tom, etc.
    Does Canada have any Sexual Offender registry?

    +9 Creeker. Take pictures or videos of him and then you will have some evidence that could identify him. He could have a scanner and knows when the police are coming.

    We have a law in Texas that would probably cover this.
    Sec. 21.15. IMPROPER PHOTOGRAPHY OR VISUAL RECORDING. (a) In this section, "promote" has the meaning assigned by Section 43.21.

    (b) A person commits an offense if the person:

    (1) photographs or by videotape or other electronic means records, broadcasts, or transmits a visual image of another at a location that is not a bathroom or private dressing room:

    (A) without the other person's consent; and

    (B) with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person;
    The only sticking point to the law could be the promote part, but it does say record.
    I'm sure a guy hanging in and around a park taking pictures of little kids is definitely trying to satisfy his sexual desire.
    Read about one case where a guy was noticed by parents at a football game taking pictures. He was confronted by police and subsequently gave consent to the search of his camera where officers found what they described as sexual type pictures of young girls cleavage and crotch area.

    Taking the guys picture should have the desired effect, like a vampire caught outside at sunrise.
