Didn't get pay for my work

Hello everybody,
I have no idea if this is the section where I should post my thread. If I'm wrong then I'm sorry for being ignorant, but...I'm despered and angry. I'm a photoshop wizard and co owner of the photography studio in northern NJ. We just got the costumer who requested our service to do his pictures for his website, he also gave us the Cd with the images showing his work. He asked us to do 2 photo collages (4 pictures each) and one with changing background. After all, he said that he doesn't like the pictures because he doesn't like himself on it and he put on his stupid shoes this day, was tired after work and all this appears on the picture... etc, Many excuses.
We charged him only for the editing work, as long he's our friend's ex husband.
He made us work, and at the final he doesn't want to pay saying that he doesn't owe nothing to nobody and he's not going to talk to us. He said, that maybe he may send to me $50 by western union. Our friend sent him to us only because she knew that we are one of the best around, so we gave him a "friendly" price. Never happened to us nothing like this before, and not bragging, we're really very good and well known in this industry. I know it's only $200 but ther is no reason I will could let it go, specialy now, when the economy is bad. Please help me, I don't know what to do in this case?

Maybe I'm just not enough of a tech geek, but what the heck is a photoshop wizard? Is that like the modern day version of the pinball wizard?

It's a civil issue. In Oregon, if it's less than about $2k, you can take them to small claims court and not have to pay for a lawyer.

But the problem isn't criminal, but a breach of contract. Police can't help you, sorry.
