tracking medical syringes

Today we found medical syringes and other paraphernalia in my fathers basement, where someone must of came in there and done drugs. We called the local police and they came and got the things and said they where going to dispose of it. Can this stuff not be tracked down where it came from?

I buy them all the time to give my dog allergy shots. Getting them is no big deal.

No, you can't trace a syringe. Some crime labs will not test the contents of a syringe either due to safety issues.

Where the technicians are kind of clumsy???? I'm glad our state lab aren't that way.

Indiana was like that. Maybe they've changed things since meth became a little more popular but it was a pain. You're probably right though, it was likely made a policy due to someone messing up. Just like every other policy.

You can buy boxes of syringes at a time from any medical supplier. It's not a controlled object that requires any authorization to purchase.

Up until recently, I could find suppliers to buy my dog's on the Internet. The last couple of times I tried I could only find ones that would sell to medical providers.
