Lack of ethics, morals and empathy for others. That's three, but they all intertwine.

So we have:
greed,
drugs,
lack of ethics, morals and empathy for others (which all intertwine, mind you), and
no singular motivator.
It's *surprise* different than I thought. I was expecting money, but I guess a lot of people want money for drugs... and then you have people that are just sadistic and/or looney aswell.
