is it legal to carry a shotgun in my car? (in TX) or what permits do you need or how can i carry something around for personal protection?
im 20 yrs old and just dont feel safe anymore without some sort of edge while ridin around this part of houston. i know enough about beating someone's a** in a brawl but fists are no match against a gun..1st thing to do when i turn 21 is get my CHL because carrying around a big wrench in my ride isnt gonna prove enough for somebody tryin to rob my car..
thanks for your time =)
Google Texas Legislature, then click statutes and follow the links all the way to section 46 of the penal code. It is not generally unlawful to carry a shotgun, rifle or handgun in your vehicle. In your vehicle you must keep a handgun concealed, not be a member of a criminal street gang, not be committing a crime, and not be prohibited by law from possessing a firearm.
