Is there a limit to the number of knives one can carry?

I've carried a pocket type knife and a Leatherman for maybe a little while longer than I've carried a firearm, which is getting close to 3 decades. Daily and nearly 12 hours a day a lot of days.

I've carried a pocket knife of one kind or the other since I was 8 years old. And I've carried one with a locking blade ever since they started making them. Same with the legal ones you can open with one hand. And whenever the least bit appropriate, I carried a fixed blade knife. I also keep a razor sharp edge on all my knives too. I'd sooner leave my house without my wallet as my knife.

I'm a big proponent of females carrying weapons. That being said, reiterating here, you gotta be proficient/good at using whatever you're carrying; you gotta be mentally prepared to use it; you gotta know when you can or can't use it; you gotta be able to explain how you used it and why. If you're gonna carry a deadly weapon for use in a life threatening/serious bodily injury type of situation, if/when TSHTF - there is No time to be Nice-Nice. If you learn how to use a knife properly, you won't have ANY doubts about whether or not it will be effective against a "full grown man".

You should research your local self-defense "laws" - go on a ride along and ask the person you're riding with about your options when it comes to protecting yourself - take a self-defense or women's self-defense class or two from a reputable instructor/school.

You're right. I see now I have the wrong perspective. Out where I live everyone has a rifle so all encounters are at a longer range. (In fact the 'nut' farmer on our road got hauled off about a week ago for shooting at the neighbors and his renters.... AGAIN...) Why fight if you don't plan on winning? I will take classes.
