21 yrs is the MINIMUM hiring age in a LOT of places. We find that those who are 24-26 are much more mature , settled down and have had some life experience which is invaluable in our job. You have done OK so far , but just keep on living and working towards your dream. All things being equal , do you think we would rather hire a 26 yr old version of you or the 21 yr old version ?
You can evolve into an even better candidate / person than you are now and will be less lilkely to do something stupid that will get you kicked off of the job due something dumb that 21 yr old ssometimes do.

I was 27 When I went to the Academy, I was talking with one of my instructors about how I felt I might have started a little late. He told me that I was wrong, He would rather have a class of 27 year olds than a class of 21 year olds because of life experiences and maturity.
Also, you can ask a few of the guys here I tend to have a different view on some things than most others here.
I agree with all their posts.
Imagine that guys, I AGREE.50yr old female, traffic stop, possession of meth
Consent to search her purse was verbally obtained by her .
Conversation goes like this,
Me: M'am is this your purse? Her: yes.
Me: Is this your wallet? Her: yes.
Me: Is this your change purse? Her: yes.
Me: Is this your blue cloth bag? Her: yes.
Me: Is this your Meth? Her: NO.
Pesky purse elves hiding Meth in her purse?
