Border Patrol SRT/Local Swat Team

Does the Border Patrol SRT Team get more training and better equipment, than Local Swat Team cause there federal. Also, have you guys ever worked with the the Border Patrol SRT Teams and what was your opinion on them.

I would guess that SRT is better equipped than some local teams, and not as well equipped as some others.

There is no hard and fast "They are Federal so they are better" rule.

I have never worked with SRT, being located in the Midwest.

BIG knows several SRT personnel, to include a commander or two; as well as members of BORTAC, the national team. All are professional, more than competent, excel at what they do & many have served tours foreign.

This isn't high school. There is no versus or who's better competition, unless it's an actual competition. So get that out of your head.

In either case, no agency is going to direct hire you into a team. You have to learn what the "job" is first, before you can advance.

Tried to rep you for that. It's funny, but oh so true.......

It all boils down to how much time each agency allows people to train, the equipment available, etc. And even that changes up and down over any period of time.

Like Big so aptly noted, it's not about who's the best. This isn't high school.
