    Not in most states.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

In most states if you're not a legal adult and leave home as a runaway, the cops will by law have to return you to your mom and/or dad if you're found. I'm assuming based on the limited info you posted that there's no issues of physical or sexual abuse by your parents/guardians, and that you're asking simply due to not wanting to live under their rules?

Out of curiosity, what's so terrible at home that makes you ask this?

If you can get the court to declare you an Emancipated Minor, you can move out. Until then, you must remain in your parent's household until you are 18 years of age - the age of adulthood in most states. Please notice the lack of the word "Maturity!" Some people's children never grow to maturity.

You know she's in love with the most wonderful boy ever (and he's only 19-22) but he really loves her too; and they just want to be together but her parents don't-won't allow it...
