    guest-house houston, texas

Hello, first i have to say, that my american-english is not as good as yours ;-) so please be gentle!

I am police officer from germany and next year (2011) i want to visit my aunt/uncle in houston. And now my question: Is there a police-guest-house or something like this for POs in houston or somewhere around???

Thanking you in anticipation for responding

You're German but your name is Frank?

I've been to Deutschland before, and "Frank" is actually a more common name there than you might think.

To answer the question, hostels in general don't really exist in the U.S., let alone something that would cater to the police. If you cannot stay with family, a hotel/motel is going to be about your only option. Maybe someone from that area can offer more specific help. Best wishes with your trip.

I thought maybe it was short for Frankenstein of Frankfurter or something. :D

If you are a member of the International Police Association (IPA) you may be able to connect with someone in the Houston area. Here is the website: International Police Association - U.S. Section

Don't say tsts to these fine canibals, they'll eat you when you leave the airport next year when you blame them!

It isn't common to have police guest houses in the USA like it is in Europe. But the prize for a clean motel will not be that high like it is here. And I think that you family will give you a piece of bread from time to time that you don't have to spend all your money at the big scotish deli (McD!).

The I.P.A. idea isn't that bad, maybe they will have special prizes for hotels/motels like they have them here. But it is only for members.

@ greggles: Remember, long years ago the american natives have been the indians. Everyone else has been an European or African before. So Frank is an european name that is very popular in Germany and countries around.

I'm looking for Drug/Narcotic Unit patches together with DUI/DWI unit patches for a frame in our Anti-Drug-Team bureau

Also looking for Massachusetts Police and US Capitol City PD patches now!
