Questions asked when pulled over?

I've asked for it to verify information if I think someone's lying to me about their identity

I've never asked, nor needed to ask, for mother's maiden name though.

Pretty well covers the question.
So the the next question is.......

WHY DID THE OFFICER THINK YOU WERE LYING?

Guess it would depend on if you gave me an ID when I pulled you over. If you just gave me a name and DOB I may well ask you for your SSN, or the street address your ID should come back to, your the number you were given last time you were incarcerated.

Most people who have been to state prison so I'll ask them their CDC number- simply because most people who might be using a false name wouldn't know this information.

You mother's maiden name? Only if I thought you might be my kid and I wanted to know your mom's name.
