Could brass knuckles keep me from becoming a Police Officer??

    Hello,

When I was about 18 or 19 I was pulled over and searched. The officer found brass knuckles I had purchased about 3 weeks prior and forgotten about in my car. I honestly had no Idea they were illegal, let alone a felony offense! The officer must have felt I was truly ignorant to felony weapon laws. He let me go with a verbal warning and confiscated the brass knuckles. I am of course going to be forthcoming with the recruiter about the situation. I have no past criminal history other than 2 traffic tickets and a citation for an expired registration, over the past 5 years. I am 22 years old now and am going to be starting my criminal justice degree with a minor in psychology. I need to know how serious this is. I hope I still have a chance!!!

    You'll probably be okay.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

You shouldn't have a problem. You weren't charged with anything

You wouldn't have a problem in Arizona.

That's because nearly everything is legal in Arizona. (well, a couple things aren't, but that's what boycotts are for. :P)

In CA it's a felony. If you weren't charged, then you were lucky. Just be honest about it and see what happens.

You weren't charged so I'm sure you'll be fine. Like you said, just be forthcoming about everything.

    Actual conversation with suspect
Suspect: Why am I under arrest?
    Me: For posession of CDS.
Suspect: Man, it wasn't CDS! It was E pills!
