classes for a police academy

i live in michigan and i want to be a cop but i don't know where to go classes become one

First, do you have a degree? Most departments require at least an associates.

If you already have a degree, you can either try to get hired into a department, and they will put you through the academy, or you can pay for the academy yourself then try to get hired.

I suggest you do some research, in general, about LE.

Your local community college.

Like I previously posted, i recommend doing your own research, then ask the questions.

If not...then do a google search on community colleges in your area...hell one of them might even have a Law Enforcement Academy.

What is "your area" ??

Lansing Community College offers an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement -- and you can do it 100% online.

Or, in lieu of about 8 classes, you attend the Mid-Michigan Police Acacemy to fulfill those ~25 credit hours.
