Lansing Community College offers an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement -- and you can do it 100% online.

Or, in lieu of about 8 classes, you attend the Mid-Michigan Police Acacemy to fulfill those ~25 credit hours.

You are out of district (district = about 15 counties right around the Lansing area), but you are an in-state student.

Classes are $86 per credit hour (most classes are 3 or 4 credit hours, each lasting 16 weeks a.k.a. one semester), plus any registration fees, course fees, etc.

I am also an in-state but out of district student.

As a general rule, it costs me about $275 per class, plus the cost of the book (if you buy used, a textbook for each class is generally somewhere around $60 to $80, depending upon the book/class).

If you sell you book(s) back at the end of each semster, you can save a few bucks towards the next semester's books (e.g., $20/$30 per book).

So figure - roughly - about $350 per 3 credit hour class. I take three classes per semester (I work full time, but am nearly a full time student, also).

LCC CJUS/LE Associates Degree = minimum 66 credit hours.
    66 / 3 (average) = about 22 classes or 22 * $350 = $7700 for your degree.

    Best of luck.
